Drakkon
Starring: Derek Boyes, Richard Wilkinson, Nicola Goss, Philip Slocombe, Oliver Kneesbeck and Mike Joslin
Attempting to abduct his runaway Niece, an evil King and his son are challenged by a peasant boy and his pet baby dragon. After a long and courageous fight it seems the peasant´s fate is sealed, but the King and his army have an unexpected visitor – Drakkon, the largest and oldest Dragon to have ever walked this earth.
Still to this day Drakkon was so ridiculously ambitious that I really can't believe that we managed to make an understandable film out of the whole experience. The crew new very little about 16mm filming at the time, using equipment that was old, temperamental and alien to us. I was trying to make a mini epic action adventure which was not the most suitable genre for low budget film making. Despite this, I was determined to make it the best I could and apart from the appalling dialogue (which most was cut out in 1996 on a re-edit during an avid editing course in Hull), the film was enjoyed by many.
